The Trumpet Vine Caper
I came home from work yesterday to find all the trumpet vine that was growing to cover a fence, was cut down by my neighbor directly behind us. It wasn't the most attractive vine but it was a work in progress. From what I read I should have been cutting it way back every year. I didn't know. This fall after it bloomed I was gonna cut it back & start anew. There were gonna be a lot of flowers finally this year. It looks like they bloom from the ends of the vine. Who new. Anyway the "neighbor" alias my new enemy didn't like it hanging over her fence, cut it all down, even though most of it was between the fence and her garage. It wasn't like it ruined her view of nothing. So needless to say the whole thing looks like hell and I am super pissed. Here are some pics of the devastation.

Hampton beach
Got up early today and went out for breakfast. Then it was up to Hampton beach, NH. They were having their 10th annual sand castle contest. I thought there would be more competitors.than there were. They were good but really nothing super great.. Here are a few pics. A tourist volunteered to take our picture. Bob looks good. I look thrilled as usual. We went back to the car. Bob can't walk to far because of his back & his sore ankle. I went for a 20 minute walk along the beach. The weather was great. We were parked along the beach for about a half hour before I realized you pay for the parking spot by putting your money in a machine. I never so the machines. You print the receipt & put it on the dash. I was nervous that I was gonna get a ticket but I finally paid before it was too late. Then it was back home. It was a good day.

The new addition
Well construction began this week on the added footage to the office/craft room. Everything seems to be moving along smoothly. We're putting a closet in this room so that I'l have more storage and if I decide to sell we can call this room a small bedroom. Bob's friend Otis is helping him. I used to be a helper/laborer/slave but I quit. Too much mental abuse.
I just noticed another friend of Bob's came over to watch, I mean help. Peter is a good guy. He looks like he's gonna be the laborer. Good luck to him. I see that they're gonna put another window in the back. We bought 2 windows at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago for $20.00. Brand new Marvin thermal pane windows.

Garden Noodle
We went out for breakfast this morning. It looks like it's gonna rain any minute. I went for a short walk along the ocean in Marshfield. It wasn't very humid over there. Then it was back home. I figured I could mow the lawn before the "scattered" showers arrived. Bob went to pick up some lumber for our small addition while I mowed. Noodle loves being outside relaxing, usually on the grass. It got ultra humid while I was mowing. I was sweating bullets. I stopped to wipe my brow & noticed Noodle relaxing in the shade of the cucumber plants. She is just too cute. I left the mower & ran in and got the camera.

The Family
Well nothing much is going on. Bob's sons came up from Florida & they met for lunch at the Venus in Marshfield. Keith & Mark are in the middle picture. Keith is in the last picture. The last picture is of Keith, a family friend Fitzy and then Mark & last but not least, Bob. Keith is a landscaper. He is in super great shape. Mark, I think works for Budweiser but really doesn't have to work at all because his wife is a dentist. They live in Florida right on the inter-coastal with a boat docked by the back yard.
Bob took a picture of the family vehicles. It's a group photo. LOL
